WOULD YOU EAT THIS SMOKED SAUSAGE AND POTATOES SKILLET
Ingredients:
1 lb smoked sausage, sliced into rounds
4 medium russet potatoes, diced
1 small onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Optional: shredded cheddar cheese or hot sauce for serving
Instructions:
Cook the Potatoes: In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp of olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced potatoes, season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder. Cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are golden brown and tender. Remove the potatoes from the skillet and set aside.
Cook the Sausage and Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp of olive oil. Add the smoked sausage slices and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Add the chopped onion, red bell pepper, and minced garlic. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are softened and slightly caramelized.
Combine and Heat Through: Return the cooked potatoes to the skillet and stir everything together. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through and the flavors have melded.
Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot. For extra flavor, top with shredded cheese or a drizzle of hot sauce if desired.
