Bok Choy with Garlic Sauce
A simple and delicious side dish.
Ingredients:
1 head bok choy, cut into wedges
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 cup water
Instructions:
Sauté garlic: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute, or until fragrant.
Add bok choy: Add the bok choy wedges to the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, or until slightly softened.
Make sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, red pepper flakes (if using), cornstarch, and water.
Combine: Pour the sauce over the bok choy and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
Serve: Serve immediately as a side dish.
Tips:
For a spicier dish, add more red pepper flakes.
You can add other vegetables to this dish, such as carrots, broccoli, or mushrooms.
Serve with rice, noodles, or protein.
