Strawberry Shortcake Puppy Chow

Ingredients

  • 5 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 1 1/2 cups strawberry cake mix
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed (optional)

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Rice Chex cereal and set aside.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips and butter in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the Rice Chex cereal and gently toss to coat the cereal evenly.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix and powdered sugar.
  5. Transfer the coated cereal to a large resealable plastic bag, then add the cake mix and powdered sugar mixture. Seal the bag and shake until the cereal is fully coated.
