Skewer of scallops and prawns
Ingredients:
- 8 scallops (scallops)
- 8 prawns (prawns)
- 8 plums (plums)
- 8 slices of bacon (bacon slices)
- 4 pieces of tomato
- 4 pieces of onion (onion pieces)
- Olive oil (olive oil)
- Salt (salt)
- Pepper (pepper)
- Herbs of Provence (Herbs de Provence)
Instructions:
- Start by preparing your ingredients: rinse the scallops and prawns under cold water, then dry them with a paper towel.
- Take each scallop and wrap it in a slice of bacon. Fix the bacon with a toothpick if necessary so that it remains rolled up during cooking.
- Now it’s time to assemble your skewers! Take your skewer and start stringing the ingredients in this order: a scallop, a plum, a prawn, a piece of tomato, a piece of onion, and repeat until the skewer is filled, finishing with another scallop on top. Aim for two scallops per skewer.
- Place the assembled skewers in a shallow dish. Sprinkle the skewers with olive oil, then season generously with salt, pepper and a pinch of Herbs de Provence. For grilling, it is better to add the herbs directly on the embers for a richer flavour.
- Preheat your grill or pan over medium-high heat. Cook the skewers for about 10 minutes, turning them occasionally to make sure they are cooked evenly and the bacon is crispy.
