Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Cheesy Breadsticks

Here’s a recipe for Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Cheesy Breadsticks:

Ingredients:

For the Breadsticks:

  • 1 can (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

For the Philly Cheesesteak Filling:

  • 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye steak (or sirloin steak)
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium bell pepper, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese (or mozzarella)

For the Dipping Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing (or your preferred dipping sauce)

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Philly Cheesesteak Filling

  1. Cook the Steak: In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak. Cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Cook the Veggies: In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the sliced onions and bell peppers (if using) for 4-5 minutes until softened. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Combine Steak and Veggies: Add the cooked steak back into the skillet with the veggies. Stir in the soy sauce and cook for another 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.

Step 2: Prepare the Breadsticks

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Roll Out the Dough: Unroll the pizza dough onto a flat surface. Pinch together the seams if using pre-sliced dough. Roll it out to form a rectangle.
  3. Assemble the Breadsticks: On one half of the dough, evenly spread the Philly cheesesteak filling (steak, onions, and peppers). Top the filling with the shredded provolone cheese.
  4. Fold and Seal: Fold the dough over the filling, forming a pocket or “log.” Pinch the edges to seal it tightly.
  5. Slice the Breadsticks: Cut the stuffed dough into 1-inch-wide strips.
  6. Season the Dough: Place the breadsticks on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with olive oil, and sprinkle with garlic powder, dried oregano, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese.

Step 3: Bake and Serve

  1. Bake: Bake the breadsticks in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  2. Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve with a side of ranch or your favorite dipping sauce.

Enjoy your Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Cheesy Breadsticks! They’re a perfect snack or appetizer!
