A Creamy Dream Come True: Steak with Garlic Cream Sauce
Ingredients:
- 4 beef steaks (sirloin, ribeye, or strip)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
- Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side (or to your desired doneness). Remove the steaks from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream, beef broth, and Dijon mustard. Stir well, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Let the sauce simmer for 4-5 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Return the steaks to the skillet and spoon the garlic cream sauce over them. Cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
