Easy Amish Meatloaf Recipe
Ingredients:
For the meatloaf:
- 2 lbs ground beef (preferably 80/20)
- 1 cup crushed buttery crackers (or old-fashioned oats)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
For the glaze:
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard (or a little more for tang)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine all the meatloaf ingredients. Mix gently with hands or a spoon until just combined—don’t overmix.
- Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan. Shape it evenly.
