Here’s a simple and flavorful Garlic Mushrooms and Broccoli recipe you can make in under 20 minutes. It’s great as a side or a light main!
Garlic Mushrooms and Broccoli Stir-Fry
Ingredients:
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 tbsp olive oil (or butter)
- 4–5 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini work well)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional, for added flavor)
- 1 tsp sesame oil (optional, for a nutty finish)
- Red chili flakes or fresh chili (optional, if you want some heat)
Instructions:
- Blanch the Broccoli (optional for tenderness):
Bring a pot of water to boil, add broccoli florets, and cook for 2 minutes. Drain and set aside. - Sauté the Garlic:
In a large pan or wok, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. - Cook the Mushrooms:
Add the sliced mushrooms to the pan. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they release their moisture and turn golden brown. - Add the Broccoli:
Add the blanched broccoli to the pan. Stir-fry with the mushrooms for another 3–4 minutes. - Season:
Add salt, pepper, soy sauce, and sesame oil (if using). Mix well to coat the veggies. - Serve hot as a side, over rice or noodles, or on its own!
Want a twist on this? I can give you a version with lemon zest, Parmesan, or a creamy garlic sauce too.
