Honey Garlic Lemon Pepper Chicken Thighs

Honey Garlic Lemon Pepper Chicken Thighs
Ingredients
6 bone-in chicken thighs
1/2 teaspoon salt
Generous freshly cracked black pepper
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
6 garlic cloves, sliced
2/3 cup honey
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon fresh lemon zest
3/4 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
  2. Melt butter in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add chicken thighs, skin-side down, and sear until golden, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in honey, lemon juice, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, lemon zest, and thyme. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  4. Return chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over the thighs.
  5. Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, basting with the sauce halfway through.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with extra sauce from the skillet.
