Oatmeal cake applesauce
Ingredients:
- 150 g of oat flakes
- 200 g of applesauce
- 100 g of plain yoghurt
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1 sachet of baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 50 g of walnuts or hazelnuts (chonced)
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C.
- In a large bowl, mix the oatmeal, baking powder and cinnamon (if you use one).
- In another bowl, beat the eggs with the honey and yoghurt until you get a homogeneous mixture.
- Add the applesauce to the egg mixture and mix well.
- Add the oatmeal mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until everything is well combined.
- Stir in the chopped walnuts or hazelnuts to add a little crunch.
- Pour the dough into a previously greased mould.
- Bake for about 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before unmoulding and enjoy!
