Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb flank steak (or sirloin), sliced thinly against the grain
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced (optional)
  • 1 tsp chili flakes (optional for extra heat)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 12 oz pasta (penne, rigatoni, or your choice)
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, with juices
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (optional for creaminess)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Steak:
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
  • Add the steak strips, season with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  • Sear the steak until browned and cooked through, about 3-5 minutes. Remove the steak and set it aside.

  • In the same pot, add another tablespoon of olive oil.
  • Add the diced onion, bell pepper (if using), and garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes, until softened.

  1. Finish the Dish:
  • Stir in the heavy cream (if using) and grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Return the cooked steak to the pot, stirring to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through and creamy.
