Philly Cheesesteak Meatloaf

Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (or a mixture of beef and pork)
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 small green bell pepper, finely chopped
1 cup mushrooms, chopped (optional)
1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian seasoned)
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup ketchup
1 large egg
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup provolone or cheddar cheese, shredded
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
Preheat Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a loaf pan.
Sauté Vegetables:

In a skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms (if using). Sauté until the vegetables are softened, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Mix the Meatloaf:

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, sautéed vegetables, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, egg, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
Shape the Meatloaf:

Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking sheet or loaf pan. Shape it into a loaf. Make a small indentation along the center of the loaf to help it cook evenly.
Add Cheese:

Bake the meatloaf for about 30-35 minutes. Carefully remove from the oven, sprinkle the shredded cheese on top, and return to the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C) and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let it Rest:

Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. This helps retain the juices.
Serve:

Slice the meatloaf and serve with your favorite sides. Enjoy your Philly Cheesesteak Meatloaf!
Tips
Serve with additional cheese sauce or ketchup on the side for dipping!
Feel free to add other toppings like jalapeños for a spicy kick.
This Philly Cheesesteak Meatloaf is a hearty meal that brings the flavors of a classic sandwich to the dinner table!
