Root Beer Float Whiskey Gummies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup root beer
- 1/2 cup whiskey
- 2 packets (0.25 ounces each) unflavored gelatin
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Directions:
- In a medium saucepan, combine the root beer and whiskey over medium heat. Stir gently until warm, but do not bring to a boil.
- Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over the warm root beer mixture and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
- After blooming, whisk in the granulated sugar and vanilla extract until fully dissolved.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and let the mixture cool for a few minutes.
- Pour the mixture into silicone gummy molds, filling each cavity about halfway.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Carefully spoon or pipe the whipped cream into the gummy molds to fill them completely.
- Refrigerate the molds for at least 2 hours or until the gummies are fully set.
- Once set, gently remove the gummies from the molds and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
