Skewer of scallops and prawns

Ingredients:

  • 8 scallops (scallops)
  • 8 prawns (prawns)
  • 8 plums (plums)
  • 8 slices of bacon (bacon slices)
  • 4 pieces of tomato
  • 4 pieces of onion (onion pieces)
  • Olive oil (olive oil)
  • Salt (salt)
  • Pepper (pepper)
  • Herbs of Provence (Herbs de Provence)

Instructions:

  1. Start by preparing your ingredients: rinse the scallops and prawns under cold water, then dry them with a paper towel.
  2. Take each scallop and wrap it in a slice of bacon. Fix the bacon with a toothpick if necessary so that it remains rolled up during cooking.
  3. Now it’s time to assemble your skewers! Take your skewer and start stringing the ingredients in this order: a scallop, a plum, a prawn, a piece of tomato, a piece of onion, and repeat until the skewer is filled, finishing with another scallop on top. Aim for two scallops per skewer.
  4. Place the assembled skewers in a shallow dish. Sprinkle the skewers with olive oil, then season generously with salt, pepper and a pinch of Herbs de Provence. For grilling, it is better to add the herbs directly on the embers for a richer flavour.
  5. Preheat your grill or pan over medium-high heat. Cook the skewers for about 10 minutes, turning them occasionally to make sure they are cooked evenly and the bacon is crispy.

These skewers are rich in protein from seafood, healthy fats thanks to olive oil, and provide fibre thanks to prunes. The bacon adds a delicious tasty touch, making them both tasty and satisfying.
